Student training begins in August. Apply using the forms above.
Before you interview:
- Math or Science related degree with a minimum 2.5 GPA
- Interest in teaching at a secondary (middle or high school) level
- Completed TTT Application with official transcripts
After your initial interview:
- Passing score (240+) on Content Exam
- Completed and approved Certification Plan
- Passing THEA score
- Acceptable GRE scores (for those seeking a Graduate credit)
- Passing criminal history check
Formal Acceptance Steps:
- Step 1: Attend partner interview
- Step 2: Program acceptance
- Step 3: Formal University application
- Step 4: Register for classes
Training
Teacher candidates will complete:
- 2 Semesters of graduate-level coursework
- 450 hours of observation and student teaching with a highly-trained mentor teacher (8-10 hours/week over a 12-month period)

University Fees
- Standard University Fees – $1800 (estimate)
- Graduate Application/Petition – $45 Reimbursement
- GRE - $60 Fee (Optional)
Fees Covered by Transition to Teaching
- Representative PPR and Content Tests – TTT covers the cost of 1 test per student
- Textbooks – majority provided by TTT library, others may be required
- Course Work (24 hours) – $5000 Reimbursement
